Easter Concert
On Thursday 22nd March, the
Shavington High School Concert Band and the Co-Operative Wind Bands (Crewe),
performed at the Easter Concert. The
Concert Band, conducted by Mr Clark, performed six pieces including Celtic
Dream, Kalinka and Blue Danube, with both bands playing a finale piece Prelude
from Te Deum. Also featuring at the
concert were Shavington High’s Guitar Group who performed two songs; You’re
Wondering Now and El Condor Passa.
The
Co-operative Wind Bands, conducted by Mrs Clark, performed a total of six
pieces including: Washington Post, Hawaii Five O, Pirates of The Caribbean, Jai
Ho and Riverdance. Musicians from both
bands performed to a very high standard which made this a really enjoyable
night for both the audience and the performers.
Overall we
raised over £600, which will certainly help both the Shavington Concert Band
and The Co-operative Wind Bands for new music & instruments.
